Bench Turned Farmhouse Chic

Every time I am given a piece of furniture to beautify, I try to imagine how I want it to look like in the end. I will strive and work hard to make it look like or surpass how I envisioned it. I can honestly say that this bench went above and beyond how I imagined it.

A customer of mine found this bench on the curb and it was going to be thrown out. I am so happy that she was able to rescue it because she saw the potential it had. She wanted the bench to be painted white and distressed with navy and white fabric for the seat.

Coffee Table From Drab to F.A.B.!

We love to beautify furniture for our customers because there are no better words to hear than “Omg, I love it!” However, there is a downfall. We have no time to beautify the furniture that is in our own home. There are multiple pieces in my apartment that need to be given a makeover but keep being pushed to the back burner because customers’ orders come first!

I got lucky and had a little bit of down time in my schedule. Instead of kicking back and watching Netflix, I decided to redo my coffee table that was in dire need of help.

Woodworking Project: Coffee Bar Mini-Fridge Cabinet

One day I got a message from my softball coach from college telling me that she was looking for a piece of furniture for her office. I quickly gave her a call to learn more and by the end of the phone call, I was so excited! She said that she wanted a custom coffee station that incorporated her mini fridge. Since there is no official kind of furniture like this I knew it was going to be custom-built. I’m calling it a ‘coffee bar mini-fridge cabinet’…at least I am for now.

The first step was to get the measurements of her mini-fridge cabinet. It turned out to be 17 inches wide, 26 inches tall, and 20 inches deep. I had a vision of this rustic looking piece where her mini-fridge fit perfectly into and it also included a spot where she can display her coffee mugs.

I quickly sketched something out and sent it her way to see if she liked the concept.

She said, “Why am I in love with this right now?” Nothing is better than hearing your customer liking (or loving) your vision.
I took a trip to Home Depot to buy the wood that I was going to need. I also purchased a solid wood door from a seller because I planned on using that as the back part of this coffee bar mini-fridge cabinet.

Dresser to Bar Transformation

The project that you are about to see has to be by far one of my favorite pieces that Nat and I made in 2017.

We were able to transform a dresser into a bar!

I found this dresser and immediately saw how amazing it could look if it was flipped into this great bar. The dresser had amazing bones and was SOLID wood, so….it was very very heavy. Thankfully with the help of my friend, Lori, I was able to transport it back to my house to be beautified.

Roll-Top Desk Looking Brand New

Furniture flipping is no easy task. Before even starting a piece, you have to envision the final product and know exactly what needs to be done to get there.

I had this cute vintage roll-top desk that wasn’t completely abused like most of my pieces, but, it still needed some beautifying.

At first, I was a little stumped when trying to figure out what to do with this piece. After some time I decided to give it a new fresh look and feel.

No More Sunken Boat

I have been dying to show you all this project that I completed recently because it is honestly one of my favorites (but yet again, I say that to a lot of my projects).

I visited my friend in Westchester, PA and was driving around the town for a little bit. That town was so adorable and it had some amazing eateries and stores. During my drive, I came across a little boat shelf sitting on the side of the road. Naturally, I pulled over because I was intrigued to see what was wrong with the little shelf that it was put out for trash. As I picked it up, check it upside down, inside out, I found absolutely nothing wrong with it. It was not only in perfect condition but it was ADORABLE, all it needed was a little love.

Reupholstering Sisters

My boyfriend, Anthony, and I had just gotten an apartment together and we were in need of a kitchen table with some chairs. We managed to get a table and I was able to buy these 3 chairs that were very green!

However, I was able to see past all the green and noticed that they were in great condition. They were sturdy with a basic design, and 3 was exactly how many I needed.
